Get dirty with Frank

Frank Body is an Australian all-natural, coffee-based skincare brand. It first started with the original coffee body scrub but now it has grown and boy that
growth has truly been beautiful. I'm slowly working my way through all the products.

The Original Coffee Scrub

The caffeine in the original coffee scrub, is practically in its raw form so it is full of wonderful skin benefits. Coffee is rich in antioxidants which are great for the skin. It helps in calming down redness and inflammation.Coffee also has the same
pH as the skin so aids in evening the skins texture and tone.
On top of this, it tightens the skin in doing so combating cellulite.
It also fades away stretch marks. Primarily the gritty coffee granules exfoliate the skin smoothing flaky, dry skin and after regular use (3-5 times a week)
it even improves skin conditions such as eczema & psoriasis,
which is one of the main reasons why I am using it.

I bought the Sweet Cheeks Bundle which was on offer, 25% off so it only costed me
£26.20 when it is usually £34.95. In the bundle comes the Creamy Face Cleanser
(my fav product) the Creamy Face Scrub and the Everyday Face Moisturizer.

Creamy Face Cleanser

OhMyGod. I cannot express my love and admiration for this product. It is so friggin'
amazing as a cleanser. It is so gentle on the skin, even around the eye area
which for me tends to be pretty dry. It is also very nourishing which greatly helps in
soothing my dry eye area. After using the cleanser, my skin is not only clean
and moisturised it feels refreshed and looks awakened. The best thing is that you only
need a small squirt of the cleanser - just use your fingers, work around your skin massaging it, and watch all the make up, dirt and
grime disappear. Just wash your face how would
normally ensuring that there's no more cleanser left over.

Creamy Face Scrub

This scrub also contains coffee but it is of a finer grind than the other Coffee Scrubs, so it consists of the same wonderfulness. It also contains Kaolin Clay - any type of clay (for the skin of course) is amazing for the skin as it works like a magnet drawing out the impurities from the skin and detoxifying it. There are so many varieties of clay charcoal, black mud, ionic just to name. I love using facial exfoliators and body scrubs, anything to do with exfoliating really. This feels gorgeous on the skin when being massaged in circular motions, the fine coffee granules get to work in gently buffing your skin whilst the Kaolin Clay purifies the skin. An all-round winner as a face scrub I believe.

Everyday Face Moisturiser

I'm often apprehensive about using new face creams because my skin is not only super dry but also overly sensitive. Thankfully, the everyday face moisturiser is suitable for the most sensitive of skins whilst also being appropriate for blemish-prone skin as it contains coconut oil which possesses anti-inflammatory properties. It does moisturise the skin but personally for me it wasn't enough so I mix it with an oil to quench the thirst of my super dry skin.

I'm enjoying using these products so far, I highly recommend the Creamy
Face Cleanser and the Original Coffee Scrub. I intend to explore the rest of the range so once I do I will report back with my experiences with them :)

Liquid Gold

I absolutely love oils! I use various oils on my hair, face and body. It really has been beneficial for nourishing my super long hair, making my skin glow as well as moisturising it. If you had to use one product for the rest of your life, it would definitely be an oil. They have seep into the skin more easily, have a higher affinity with the skin and are packed with numerous vitamins & essential fatty acids.

Bio-oil 200ml £19.99

Bio-oil is known to treat scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone in addition to hydrating the skin due the numerous essential oils. I suffer from uneven skin tone and scars due to my skin disorder which is the reason behind why I purchased it. Also my cousin swears by it and used
it to help fade scarring. The only downside is that you must you use it
religiously and with continued use you should see a difference.

Breakdown of the essential oils and types of vitamins in Bio-Oil and their skincare benefits

• Lavender oil is renowned for its relaxing fragrance and is even used to lull people to sleep. It treats acne because of its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which is also beneficial for other skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis in addition to preventing premature aging.

• Rosemary oil has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties in addition to anti-microbial

abilities which help with oily skin, acne and dry skin conditions. It increases the
skins elasticity in doing so reducing age spots and droopiness.

• Chamomile oil is very soothing and calming on the skin which

makes it great for those with sensitive skins.

• Calendula oil is derived from marigold flowers, it is known to help brighten the skin and prevent

it from blemishes. In addition to encouraging new skin cell growth.

• Vitamin E is also an antioxidant. It also possesses anti-inflammatory

properties which is helpful for acne and dry skin conditions.
It improves elasticity, texture and tone giving soft and supple skin.

• Vitamin A is an antioxidant which slows the effects of free radical damage, which causes aging.

Another reason why I love Bio-Oil so much is also
because it is a member of beauty without cruelty!

Polynesian Miracle Monoi oil from The Body Shop 150ml - £10 (on sale for £5)
is a fragrant blend of coconut oil and tiare flowers. This oil has many uses! Firstly it can be used to moisturise the skin, giving it a beautiful glow. Secondly it can also be used to condition the hair, when using this oil I found that the gorgeous scent still lingers even after I've washed my hair. Thirdly it can be used as a massage oil due to its wonderful fragrance and nourishing properties. Lastly it can be used as a bath oil so you can sit back and relax, inhaling the lovely scent.

Vitamin E Oil from Holland & Barrett 75ml - £11.99
I bought this as I know vitamin E is amazing for reducing the appearance of scars from spots, burns and blisters. I picked a spot (stupidly!) and it left a scar of course and so on a daily basis I used a toothbrush to exfoliate the damaged area of skin then applied Vitamin E oil and I did this very often. After a month the scar had faded, it went from a bright red mark to a very light brown colour. I feel using the toothbrush to scrub my skin prior to applying the oil was significant as it removed that layer of dead skin in doing so the
oil would seep deeper into my skin.

Miaroma Sweet Almond Oil 200ml from Holland & Barrett - £5.99
This is marketed as a base for massage oils but it also has other uses. It could be used as a cleanser which I found very effective, as it is an oil it nourishes your skin at the same time. It can also be used to reduce dark circles under the eyes after continuous use. In addition it can be mixed with a moisturiser for those with really dehydrated skin. It can be mixed with a foundation to nourish the skin and give a dewy look and/or nourish the hair. This is one of my favourite oils to use on my hair as it leaves such a gorgeous scent
even after washing my hair.

Argan Oil From The Body Shop 125ml - £14
I use this on my face, hair and body. as it is a spray bottle it is super easy to use and it doesn't get too messy either. After showering I spritz it on  my skin, which is so easy and quick to do. It nourishes my skin beautifully and gives it a radiant glow. I love using this on my hair too as a night treatment, it leaves it feeling soft and beautifully fragrant. Argan oil is known to repair damaged hair so it is amazing for those with brittle, dry and lifeless hair (usually caused by heat damage) thankfully my hair isn't damaged as I don't use straighteners or curlers and I towel dry my hair.

How I Use Oil On My Hair
Leave the oil on your hair overnight, so sleep with a towel over your pillow to make sure there are no oil stains on your pillow. At night time whilst you are resting that is when your body is working its hardest, it is the most receptive and so will absorb much more oil and much quicker. You will also have the best sleep ever! (something I’ve found when I sleep with oil in my hair) the longer you leave the oil in the better it is for you, once you're ready to shower/bathe shampoo your hair twice just to make sure all the grease is gone. You will find your hair feels so much healthier and softer. Do this regularly and it will help nourish your hair, making it silky soft and add a bounce to your hair! I try to use oils as a night treatment at least twice a week, this has made a huge difference to my hair its so much more healthy than it used to be. I'd highly recommend using oil as a night treatment at least twice a week and eventually you will see the benefits.

Hope you enjoyed reading this and learned something new about oils!

Detoxifying Fuji Green Tea

I am literally obsessed with Fuji Green Tea bodycare range from The Body Shop!
The scent is absolutely divine even the packaging of the products is beautiful!
The products in the range contain REAL green tea leaves sourced
from the Mount Fuji region of Japan. I currently have the
Eau De Cologne, the Body Sorbet and the Bath Tea and Infuser.

Eau De Cologne - £19

This scent is one of my favourites,it is so light and refreshing.

Body Sorbet - £8

The sorbet is alternative to the Body Butters because to its
light texture, the sorbet is refreshing and gives 24 hours
hydration. It provides an instant cooling sensation to the skin
and is fantastic for days when it especially hot. You can
even pop it into the fridge making it perfect for summer!

Bath Tea - £12

Bath Infuser - £5

The bath tea is a mixture of bath salts and real green tea leaves.
There are two ways which you could use it:either sprinkle the mixture
straight into your bath or use the infuser by pouring the
contents into it and hooking it around the bath tap, allowing the water
to run through it. The salt dissolves and the green tea leaves remain,
transforming your bath water into a lovely mint green colour.
I call the 2nd method,'the no mess method' as it saves you
from having to clear up the scattered green tea leaves which is super messy.
The crisp fragrance fills the bathroom which helps to unwind and
immersing yourself in the green tea bath is a great way to de-stress and relax.

I strongly believe that it is really important to put time aside for yourself
as we're so caught up in the whirlwind that is our lives, find a way to relax  whether
it is running yourself a bath or curling up in bed to a good read, anything really.
It is very healthy for your mental well being and saves you from over-stressing & running yourself down.

Take it easy my lovelies
